PM Snack

PM Snack is a combo programme / project management blog presented by veteran programme manager Mykola Dudar that began in January 2010 as a means to share best practices in PPM.

Mykola, a Seattle native who currently works as a Programme Manager in the Windows division of Microsoft, manages programmes on products for software developers and “a software developer when not wearing PM hat,” in his own words. Each week, he updates his findings on new best practice advice in a software development capacity at PM Snack.

“I started the blog to collect best practices of program management and project management that I find working in my experience,” he says. “I share my opinion about what works and what does not, point out lessons learned by me or other PMs. I also read many books, attend trainings and use various PM software and I share my opinion about them.”

The blog, according to Mykola, is aimed at Programme and Project Managers both either by title or responsibility. He says that PM Snack is mostly focused on software development but feels the blog features universal principles that cross into many different industries.

“PM Snack collects best practices of program management and project management in software development. Program and project managers can find here lessons learned by other PMs; guidance on improving in key program and project manager skills; opinions, reviews and recommendations of tools, software, books and other resources helpful to PMs in their job.”
