Managing the Work, the blog from the team at Daptiv, began publishing posts in October 2009 under the guidance of Monica Miller. Daptiv specialises in improving collaborative work management, and the directives of Managing the Work encompass project management professionals, as well as a variety of other management professions hoping to collaborate in an effective manner.
Monica told PPMcommunity.com that the blog began for the purposes of “creating a resource for the modern teammate & team leader – whether they identify with the term ‘project manager’ or not”.
“I’d describe Managing the Work as a collection of best practices, news & opinion on “managing the work” – for & from team leaders & team members,” Miller says. “The intended audience is team leaders & teammates who want to get things done better, smarter – and maybe sometimes faster.”
“The Managing the Work blog team is a collection of marketing, HR, product, customer service and engineering teammates from Daptiv, a team dedicated to improving collaborative work management.”
Monica says that Daptiv team members are often motivated to blog simply by hearing that a post “has been interesting or helpful to a reader.”
