BradEgeland.com, by Brad Egeland, is about bringing real world project management information to the masses. Currently working on an independent basis, the native of Las Vegas and IT/Project Management consultant and author has over 24 years of development and management experience in sectors ranging from Manufacturing to Higher Education to Aviation and Airline, and many more.

Egeland writes for a variety of sites, including PMTips, devoting so much of his time for the masses of project management followers that he writes as many as 20 articles a week. For Brad, bradegeland.com’s November 2009 inauguration marked the second blog he wrote and edited on a regular basis.

“I originally started Project Management for the Masses on blogspot back in 2006,” he said. He feels that bradegeland.com is tailored well to his consulting background, as he tries to target the newcomers and early career project managers looking to make an impact in the profession.

“My audience is less experienced project managers looking for helpful information that isn’t just standard fair in the PMI manual. I like to give helpful project information on templates, communication methods, and how to deal with customers and team members in certain situations. Things you won’t find in a manual.”

Brad blogs almost everyday on matters concerning communication, resource management, customer interface, risk management, and scope management within the requirements definition.

Brad says he rarely finds a particular post or article to be among his favorites, leaving him room to grow and develop his craft after just one year as a professional writer. “Writing provides me with a very different creative release than normal project management – it’s a nice contrast to what I normally do for consulting work.”
